Minimum qualification and skills:

• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Prior experience with QuickBooks required
• Prior experience with spreadsheets, and data entry
• Ability to problem solve
• Timeliness, accuracy, and strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude, resourcefulness, and willingness to assist others

Assistant Bookkeeper Job Summary:

• Record transactions, prepare reports
• Process payments, invoices, purchase orders, and receipts using QuickBooks Desktop
• Find creative solutions and efficiencies where available

The part time Assistant Bookkeeper is an in-person position located at the store in Uptown, Minneapolis, 14-16 hours per week with compensation commensurate with experience, starting at $17.25/hour. Opportunity for future growth is available; including additional hours, bookkeeping and accounting tasks, and retail bookstore work. Shifts are primarily during the day, during the week. A flexible schedule is preferred.
