Position: Azure DevOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid Wilmington, MA-2 days per week

Duration: 12+ months, temp to perm

    • Tech skills:
      • Azure background is necessary, cloud native development experience
      • React Front end-- talking to APIN
      • Python Language
      • APIN talks to local databases and MuleSoft
      • Azure Functions
  • Certifications are nice to have
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) Focuses on developing for Azure.
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) Valuable if the role leans more into architectural decisions.
    • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) Since CI/CD and DevOps pipelines are key in the job description.

Job Overview:

  • In this prototyping phase, where they can prototype an application
    • After they get the sign off from the business, will go to engineering
    • Engineering will use Azure to get this built out
      • Just looking for heads down developers
  • Azure Full Stack Developer- 3 teams, has 3 people to follow those teams already, will need 3 others
    • Team:
      • Product team, will have a Product Manager (Sr. level)
      • Developers
      • Shared DevOps Person
      • ERP BA's as well
        • This team will be dedicated to this product
  • Project:
    • CPQ is one of them
      • Configure, Price, Quote
        • Coming in from Dynamics- industry, sales region, etc.
        • Pick products, I want coveralls, buy budget protection
        • Then want a logo mat delivered bi-weekly
        • I also need hand soap
        • Will get an estimated weekly value
        • Personalization: this is my logo, add the screenshot and personalization
        • Pricing: if you get $348 more you get a 10% discount, then there's a weighted margin, if you can go to the margin, you'll need to get approval

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Azure cloud-native services, including App Services, Functions, API Management (APIM), Data Factory (ADF), Key Vault, and Azure SQL.
  • Design and implement front-end solutions using frameworks like React or equivalent, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Build and maintain back-end systems using languages such as Python, C#, Java, or Node.js, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
  • Implement modern development practices including CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and cloud security patterns to ensure efficient and secure development processes.
  • Utilize AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Cursor to enhance coding productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale, enterprise-grade applications that require integration, security, and scalability.
  • Lead technical discussions and decisions to shape solutions and make architectural contributions, even without formal authority.
  • Translate ambiguous business requirements into solid technical designs, ensuring clarity and alignment with business goals.
  • Address complex problem-solving challenges under constraints, delivering impactful solutions in environments with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical discipline.
    • Equivalent experience is accepted in place of a formal degree if the candidate demonstrates strong technical capability.
