Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)
A growing 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

Position Summary
Biller compiles all pertinent information on all admissions and discharges to reconcile computer records with the correct information. Biller verifies insurance information with the third-party payer to obtain an accurate benefit quote. Follows up with billed entities to ensure payment. Must have experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Worker’s Compensation, and other Governmental Agencies/Payors. Biller tracks and reports patient account information. Biller complies, prepares, and posts customer charges to be billed or re-billed to third party payers. The position is responsible for the handling of all communication either direct or electronic with insurance carriers, patients, or staff in the pursuit of collecting monies for the accounts receivable section of the Business Office. QualificationsEDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required; Medical Billing certificate is preferred.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of one-year experience in hospital business office setting; or at least one year of experience in medical billing/collection field.
