Job Description

• Site preparation:  Set up forms, clean surfaces, and ensure the area is ready for pouring.
• Concrete pouring:  Direct the placement of concrete from a truck and spread it to the correct depth using a rake or shovel.
• Leveling and smoothing:  Use tools like floats, screeds, and trowels (both hand and power) to level and smooth the freshly poured concrete.
• Finishing:  Apply a final finish using power trowels and other tools, and apply sealants or hardening compounds.
• Maintenance and repair:  Patch existing concrete, cut expansion joints, and perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Quality and safety:  Monitor the curing process, ensure the finished product meets quality standards, and comply with all safety regulations

• Physical ability:  Must be physically fit to handle heavy materials, work long hours, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
• Technical skills:  Proficiency in operating hand and power tools, knowledge of concrete mixtures, and the ability to read blueprints or project plans.
• Problem-solving:  Ability to address on-site issues, such as weather effects on curing or inconsistencies in the mix.
• Attention to detail:  Meticulous work is required to achieve precise leveling, smooth surfaces, and uniform textures.
• Communication:  Ability to collaborate effectively with a construction team
