Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that is committed to delivering high-quality software solutions to our clients. If you are a self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented software engineer who is passionate about developing innovative software solutions, we would love to hear from you.
This position allows for partial telework. Clearance A current Secret level security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
Experience Nine (9) years' experience in Software Engineering, designing, developing, and deploying complex backend systems and a Bachelors in related field or seven (7) years experience with Masters; or High School Diploma and thirteen (13) years experience.
Required skills:
- Experience in designing enterprise APIs
- Experience in RESTful web services
- Experience in Microservices architecture
- Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms
- Experience with the agile software lifecycle
- Has a proven ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting
- Experience with the Linux operating system
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven)
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed
Desired skills:
- Experience in cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Experience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr)
- Scripting experience is a huge plus
- Prior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is a plus
- Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites. (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc.
Benefits Erias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $150,000 - $275,000.
