Job Description

Kinema Fitness is a premium fitness center operator that provides on-site wellness solutions to corporate facilities across the country. We are looking for a full time Fitness Specialist at one of our Chicago locations.

Kinema is seeking a fitness specialist that has strong leadership and communication skills with a love and passion for wellness. Kinema Fitness sets high standards for their team members, but also gives a strong support system to ensure their success and the site’s success.

The fitness specialist will be responsible for assisting the GM and FM on the operations of the fitness center. The fitness specialist will be primarily responsible for building a robust group exercise, personal training program and creating and executing challenges and competitions within the fitness center. Kinema Fitness will be seeking creative and innovative fitness ideas that will engage all audiences.

As a fitness specialist you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding certain performance metrics and goals. To achieve these goals, we are looking for a proactive, detailed oriented, organized and innovative individual who wants to grow with a corporate wellness company.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create a culture of excellent customer service similar to luxury hospitality, that is tailored to the needs of the members and client.
  • Develop a strong personal training program that will become a cornerstone of the corporate fitness center.
  • Assist the GM and FM on daily responsibility and tasks.
  • Develop and maintain a class schedule that is built from member and client feedback.
  • Keep the gym website updated frequently with programs, events and classes
  • Network with other vendors on the property to integrate the fitness center into the many areas of the property.
  • Conduct reporting on fitness related information including personal training and class participation.
  • Create an outreach strategy to generate additional personal training clients.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in working order.
  • Must be responsive to feedback from members.
  • Greet all members, and create a friendly environment.
  • Implement and grow holistic wellness solutions as well as other wellness related services.
  • Help with facility upkeep including but not limited to folding towels, cleaning equipment, organizing equipment, restocking toiletries and shower supplies, and helping maintain 5 start level of cleanliness and hospitality in the fitness center.
Requirements
  • 2 years of personal training experience
  • Degree in Exercise Science or related field
  • Certified Personal Trainer
  • CPR/AED
Salary: $50,000 plus additional commission for personal training and group fitness classes.
