House Manager and Travel Assistant based in Westchester County, NY Travel Required Full-Time Live-Out We are seeking an experienced and highly organized professional to join the leadership team of a private household as a House Manager and Travel Assistant. This role includes responsibilities across culinary, event support, housekeeping supervision, and travel coordination, ensuring the highest level of care and efficiency. Responsibilities Assist the Family Director of Residences Oversee household organization, including managing closets, storage spaces, and household inventory. Ensure all supplies are stocked and in excellent condition, coordinating with vendors and shops as needed. Take charge of packing, unpacking, and overseeing family departures and arrivals. Step into leadership in the absence of the Director of Residences, ensuring seamless household operations. Culinary Event Support Prepare simple, light meals in the absence of the Private Chef and assist in meal preparation for events and travel. Source specialty items from local bakeries, markets, and shops. Collaborate with the Chef to assess food and beverage options daily. Set and serve meals as needed, creating aesthetically pleasing tablescapes. Assist in event planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring smooth operations from start to finish. Housekeeping Supervision Supervise and direct the housekeeping team, ensuring excellence in cleaning, organization, and household aesthetics. Conduct regular inspections to assess the cleanliness and overall atmosphere of the home. Maintain housekeeping schedules and ensure proper staff coverage. Travel Support Travel with (or ahead of) the family to other properties, assisting with local coordination and managing family needs on-site. Provide in-flight service aboard the familys private aircraft, stepping in as a backup to the primary cabin attendant as needed. Qualifications 7-10 years of hands-on private service experience in a fine home or a luxury hospitality, yachting, or five-star service environment. Culinary Skills: Ability to prepare simple, light meals when the chef is unavailable and assist the chef with prep for events and travel. Knowledge of caring for fine furnishings, artwork, and high-value household items. Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with household management software, MS Suite, and smart home systems. Professional demeanor, discreet, punctual, and well-versed in etiquette. A team player with exceptional communication skills. Must own a vehicle and be confident driving with strong situational awareness. Schedule This position offers a dynamic schedule with flexibility to adapt to the familys evolving needs. While the workweek will fluctuate seasonally, consistent availability is expected, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during event support or project execution. Team members are expected to be responsive 24/7 in service to the family. Compensation Base compensation range of $170,000 to $200,000 commensurate with experience. Relocation stipend offered to the right candidate.
