BUSY SPECIALTY CLINIC IN LAFAYETTE IN NEED OF A LICENSED PHLEBOTOMIST FOR FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT (MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY) NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS

Requirements :

• Certification and graduation from a certified phlebotomy or medical assistant program
• 2 years’ experience as a phlebotomist/medical assistant
• Must demonstrate knowledge of and experience in phlebotomy and use of phlebotomy equipment

Duties:

• Patient registration and basic information management in the lab computer system and practice EMR
• Responsible for specimen collection (blood draw) and processing for transportation to the laboratory
• Must be able to process or place specimens on laboratory instrumentation in accordance with established policy and procedures
• Assist with inventory control including receiving, stocking, and record keeping
• Perform special projects or other assignments given with expectations to be completed in a certain time period.

Must show ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and the public, demonstrating courtesy, professionalism, and good communication skills in a customer service environment. Sitting, standing, walking and light lifting is required for this position.
Must demonstrate ability to exercise initiative, problem solving, and decision-making.
