Overview

We are seeking a Radiology Nurse , sometimes referred to as a Radiology R egistered Nurse (RN), Diagnostic Imaging Nurse or Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN).  In our Angiography Department, the Radiology Nurse support both the medical team and the patient before, during, and after angiographic procedures. Radiology Nurse work blends specialized imaging knowledge with procedural nursing care.

Bonus Options: Up to $20,000

Hours: 12 hour – 7:00am to 7:00pm

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Provide pre-procedure care by assessing patient history, allergies, medications, and lab results, educating the patient, starting IV lines, and performing safety checks

• Support the team during procedures by monitoring vital signs, assisting the radiologist with sterile equipment, administering sedation, and responding to emergencies

• Deliver post-procedure care by monitoring hemostasis, supervising recovery, and educating patients on activity restrictions, wound care, and complication signs

• Collaborate with interventional radiologists, technologists, and vascular teams while ensuring clear communication of patient status across units

• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, medications, and patient education in the electronic health record

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS Certification 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. Conscious Sedation Monitoring competency within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

1. Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) preferred.
2. One (1) year of acute clinical Radiology Nursing experience preferred.
3. Ventilator Management experience preferred.
4. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
