Our rapid growth and breadth of accounts translates into exciting opportunities for our people!This role oversees full-service café breakfast and lunch operations, two coffee bars, retail spaces, and a team of 32 employees. The position operates Monday through Friday with 7 AM start times. The Senior Café Manager is responsible for the overall cafeteria operations from open to close, maintaining cost controls, leading staff, and ensuring high-quality service and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise all aspects of daily café operations, including meal service, coffee bars, and retail spaces
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in line with company policies and applicable laws
• Interview, hire, train, and coach employees and entry-level managers
• Plan, assign, and direct daily work duties
• Conduct employee meetings, performance reviews, and development plans
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards
• Prepare and maintain daily volume and trend analysis reports
• Plan, market, and execute café promotions and special events
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
• 3–5 years of upscale food service experience, including 2 years in management
• Proven ability in supervising, scheduling, training, and coaching teams
• Strong knowledge of food service operations, company policies, and client procedures
• Experience with cash handling and food service equipment operation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• ServSafe or Department of Health certification preferred
