Your Role:

As a Senior Environmental Engineer or Geologist, you will:
  • Lead Projects: Manage all phases of projects, including scoping, budgeting, execution, reporting, and client communication.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide expertise in a variety of projects, including but not limited to soil and groundwater remediation and design, vapor intrusion, mitigation system design/installation, contaminated site management, and emerging contaminant investigations (PFAS).
  • Field & Design Work: Oversee field investigations (drilling, sampling, data collection) and prepare design recommendations for complex or unusual site conditions.
  • Mentorship: Guide and support engineers, geologists, and technical staff, fostering career development and in-house training.
  • Business Development: Leverage your local market knowledge and relationships to identify, pursue, and secure project opportunities. Collaborate with clients to build trust and expand S&ME's presence.

About You:
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biological or Environmental Sciences, or a related technical field
  • You have a minimum of 8 years of professional environmental engineering experience
  • You have a Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license required
  • You have proven experience with soil and groundwater remediation/design, vapor intrusion, soil gas investigations, contaminated sites, and/or mitigation systems preferred
  • You have strong project management and leadership skills
  • You have excellent business development abilities, and existing client relationships in the local market are preferred

Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment, such as:
  • Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions
