The Communications Outreach Recruitment and Enrollment (CORE) Unit is one of the first stops along the path of that transformation. We initiate outreach to thousands of young adults across the state and then lead them through the enrollment process.

We are looking for a Staff Services Analyst (SSA) to join our CORE team, and will consider an Associate Governmental Program analyst (AGPA). Below, is key information candidates should consider before applying.

The Statewide Recruiter will actively recruit young individuals to join at CCC centers statewide, with a focus for recruiting and enrolling for wildland firefighting, forestry corps and other CCC conservation programs. This position requires using a state vehicle to travel for recruitment activities.

The Statewide Recruiter is responsible for using CoRe (Corpsmember Recruitment Salesforce system) CRM (customer relationship management) to track engagement with CCC Corpsmember applicants, analyze and assess recruitment reports for constant and timely engagement for a smooth enrollment process.

A successful State wide Recruiter candidate has strong analytical skills, public speaking skills and enjoys working with young adults. This position is anything but monotonous. It is fast and nimble, diverse in duties and deliverables, and makes a daily impact on the lives of young adults seeking to improve themselves and their communities.

Working Conditions

This position is classified as “Hybrid” and is currently eligible for up to three (3) days of telework per week, with a minimum of two (2) days of in-office work.

The reporting location for this position is at CCC Pomona Center, located at 3530 W. Pomona Blvd, Building 3 Pomona, CA 91768.

Eligibility Information

In order to be considered for the job vacancy you must satisfy one of the following requirements:

  1. List Eligibility – Successfully complete the civil service exam for  Associate Governmental Program Analyst or  Staff Services Analyst . Please refer to the exam bulletin for the frequency of administration of this exam.
  2. Transfer Eligibility – Must have current employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable. If in a different classification, you must meet the minimum qualifications (see Minimum Qualifications section and associated links above).
  3. Reinstatement Eligibility – Previously obtained permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable. If in a different classification, you must meet the minimum qualifications (see Minimum Qualifications section and associated links above.
  4. Training & Development (T&D) Assignment – State employees in a permanent appointment, and no longer on probation, may be considered for a T&D assignment.
