Job Description

Salary: $85,150 - 153,925 per year Requirements:

  • US citizenship is mandatory per contract.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience in administering and supporting Databricks environments in a critical enterprise setting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, specifically services like EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and networking components.
  • Experience in developing and testing automation scripts.
  • Proficiency in documenting work instructions and configurations.
  • Experience with data manipulation using Microsoft Excel, particularly in transforming and graphing data.
  • Skills in creating Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, including importing images and graphs.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance best practices in a classified cloud environment.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain Security+ CE (or similar) within six months, necessary for privileged user (admin) access.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams and utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Databricks administrator, overseeing workspace configuration, user roles, cluster performance, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage AWS infrastructure services, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and Lambda to ensure secure and scalable systems.
  • Work together with data scientists, developers, and mission analysts to comprehend system requirements and translate them into effective engineering solutions.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform for consistent and repeatable deployments.
  • Engage in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Aid in system integration, security enhancements, and operational readiness reviews.
  • Produce and sustain system documentation in accordance with NGA standards.

The right candidate will have experience with Databricks administration and strong proficiency in AWS cloud services. This position merges software development and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) administration skills, offering on-the-job training (OJT) to configure, document, and manage Databricks resources and AWS resources.

In this role, you will be involved with multiple Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) Databricks deployments, working collaboratively with customers, user workgroups, and vendors to oversee the 4ACES platform.
