Rudolf Steiner School seeks experienced Assistant Coaches for the Winter Basketball Season:
Official Start Date: 10/27/2025
Official End Date: 2/13/2026
The assistant coach reports to the Athletics Director. Qualified candidates must have previous coaching and/or playing experience, have a positive coaching style, value teamwork and sportsmanship, and have a strong understanding of the sport.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coaches must exhibit mastery and knowledge in their sport. Effective planning, instructional skills, and the ability to set expectations, motivate, and discipline student-athletes are essential components of the job. More specifically, Assistant coaches are expected to: Continually pursue increased knowledge of their sport and coaching techniques through participation in a variety of educational and professional development activities.
Assist in formulating and implementing daily practice plans that demonstrate a high amount of time on task, that are progressive, are congruent with team and individual ability, and are consistent with sound conditioning principles. Assists in appropriately disciplining student-athletes when expectations are not met or rules are broken.
This is a seasonal stipend-paid position.
