Are you passionate about supporting young children’s emotional and behavioral development? We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Behavioral Specialist to join our early childhood program and help children thrive socially and emotionally in a nurturing learning environment.
In this flexible role, you will work directly with children ages 6 months to 5 years , providing guidance and intervention strategies for those who experience challenges with behavior, emotional regulation, or social skills. You’ll collaborate closely with teachers, families, and administrators to create individualized support plans and promote positive behavioral outcomes.

Duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Observe and assess children struggling with behavior, emotional regulation, or social development.
• Develop and implement individualized behavioral support strategies.
• Coach and support teachers in effective classroom behavior management techniques.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with children as needed.
• Collaborate with families and staff to foster consistency between home and school environments.
• Maintain clear, confidential documentation of observations and progress.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, early childhood education, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or a related field.
• Experience working with young children (infant to preschool age) in educational, clinical, or therapeutic settings.
• Solid understanding of child development, behavior management strategies, and trauma-informed care.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a child-centered approach.
